Here Are The Most Trusted Tech Companies

As the prominence of tech stocks grows, trusting their private data to giant technology companies may not be easy for many consumers, particularly those who have fallen prey to hackers. But most companies still command some respect from a majority of people, as IBD and polling partner TechnoMetrica learned in a recent survey.

Each respondent rated seven randomly selected tech companies from a list of 24 companies chosen by IBD’s editorial team. The Trust Index score reflects the difference between the percent of respondents with very high or high trust in a company’s protection and use of consumers’ personal information vs. the percent with low or very low trust, scaled so that above 50 indicates a positive level of trust and below 50 reflects negative trust.

The 12 companies and related tech stocks with the best scores are the Most Trusted Tech Companies (shaded in green).

Here’s the full list, and for investors in tech stocks, data on their stock ratings and financial performance.
