Wales kicked-off their Euro 2020 charge with a creditable draw against Switzerland, but can they go on to repeat their heroics from five years ago?

Inspired by Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale, the Dragons were very much the surprise package at Euro 2016 when they reached the semi-final stage.

That came after they progressed through the same group as home nations neighbours England.

This time around, though, they have been pitted against Italy, Switzerland and Turkey in a 24-team competition which was, of course, delayed by 12 months due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Eager to pick up where they left off five years ago in France, Wales hit back to earn a solid point from the Group A opener against the Swiss on Saturday afternoon.

Kieffer Moore celebrates with Gareth Bale after his goal for Wales vs Switzerland.

Kieffer Moore equalised for Wales around 15 minutes from time after Breel Embolo had headed Switzerland in front shortly after the restart at the Olympic Stadium in Baku.

That’s the same venue which hosts this clash against Turkey, which kicks off at 5pm.

Billed as a potential surprise package ahead of the tournament, Turkey were instead handed a lesson by Italy in the opening match on Friday night, with Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne among the goalscorers in an impressive 3-0 verdict that was clocked up in Rome.

Here is how to watch and follow every kick of the Group A contest, which will be followed later in the night by the other game in this Euro 2020 section – namely Italy vs Switzerland (Rome).

What are the Turkey vs Wales betting odds?

Despite being humbled 3-0 by an eye-catching Italy side in the opening match of the tournament, Turkey are seen as favourites ahead of this Wednesday afternoon encounter against Wales.

Indeed, Grosvenor Casinos have them priced-up at close to odds-on (27/20) to reign supreme against Bale and co, who famously reached the semi-finals at Euro 2016 – losing out only to eventual winners Portugal.

As things stand, interim manager Robert Page’s men are 12/5 shots with the same bookies, and you can currently get odds of 21/10 on a draw.

Turkey – 27/20
Draw – 21/10
Wales – 12/5
