Premier League stars go head to head in new striker challenge

Emile Smith Rowe, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Wilfried Zaha have all tried their luck at London’s TOCA Social – the world’s first interactive football and dining experience

Premier League stars are keeping themselves competitive away from the pitch in a new interactive football experience.

Similar to a golf simulator, London’s TOCA Social allows guests to test their skills across a variety of different games, earning points and eliminating opponents.

Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Emile Smith Rowe of Arsenal and Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha have all attended the venue, which is located at the O2 Arena in Greenwich.

It is retired star and current BBC pundit Jermaine Jenas who is the top footballer on the leaderboard. His score of 2850 is only topped by TV personality Dan Osborne, who appeared on The Only Way Is Essex,

Michael Antonio, Trevor Chalobah, Lianne Sanderson and Alphonse Areola are among the other stars to attend whilst the entire Aston Villa Women’s team have also been visitors.

Chelsea star Trevor Chalobah gives the game a try

Jermaine Jenas, here playing the Striker game, is the highest scoring footballer

Antonio, who has scored seven times for high flying West Ham this term, boasts the best score on the TOCA Challenge, which is one of four games available to players.

The TOCA Challenge is a 15-level game that requires players to hit a target, which gradually gets smaller and harder to strike, with one ball – miss and it is over. Antonio reached level 12 before coming unstuck.

Atom Splitter is another favourite, with Zaha’s 2750 the most impressive score. Players are required to split atoms which get smaller each time their hit, but their value increases.

Striker, another game, works in a similar way, with the entire interactive screen being split into sections that are worth points based on their position.

Those who back themselves to bend it top bins will score more than those who thump it down the middle.

Eliminator is another game open to players, but be ready for it to cause a bit of friction.

Faces of those involved will appear on the screen with a set amount of lives – hit your own and you boost your lives, hit other players to take away from their total. Last man – or pair depending on your party size – wins.

Enjoy an excellent selection of food and drink

Cocktails, wines and beer are all available at TOCA Social
