Wolverhampton Wanderers dropped two points in the dying embers of the match at Elland Road as Leeds United clawed a goal back in second half additional time to draw 1-1 against Bruno Lage’s side.
Wolves forward Hwang Hee-chan opened the scoring inside the first 10 minutes of the game to net his third goal in as many Premier League appearances, and his fourth goal since joining the club from RB Leipzig in August.
Lage’s side were comfortably leading the game despite their slender advantage, but invited pressure in the second period.
Leeds’ sustained pressure would eventually tell and under a challenge from Nelson Semedo, Joe Gelhardt won a penalty for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, which Rodrigo converted in the final stages of the game.
Despite scoring late on to claim a point against Wolves, Leeds fans weren’t pleased with apparent ‘time wasting’ antics from the away side.
@ Smtlufc : Wolves time wasted as soon as they scored and for the rest o the game. They went to ground at the least little thing and in the end got what they deserved after we scored in injury time.
@ stephenstweets : Don’t think any Leeds fans in the stadium can deny that we didn’t deserve that point. Wolves were wasting time from minute nine onwards, it was ridiculous, our fans got us at that point, second half atmosphere was brilliant and spurred us on.
@ grayc0113 : The crowd was epic! The lads put in the work, few individual perfomances weren’t great and the quality was lacking a bit but I’ll take a point even though we should’ve beaten that lot.
@ NiallBranton : Never seen a team waste time like Wolves did today
@ mintandrews : Good come back! We need Ayling, Phillips, Bamford back asap
@ atorning : High improvement on last week – deserved more than one point – crowd was amazing – Gelhardt impressive.
@ SgtArthurWilson : Deserved the win, totally dominated second half
